Do you enjoy playing softball? MVC is part of the community church softball league. If you enjoy playing and are over the age of 13, you are invited to join our team. Anyone interested can contact Darla Dahlquist at (209) 648-3336. Our first game will be on April 30th at 6:30p.m.

Join us at the Fiorini Ranch for breakfast on May 4th. With the opening of baseball season, we will have SF Giants trivia, some memorabilia and a pitching contest. This will be a great place to connect. The cost is $5 per ticket. Click here to register.

Whether you have been at Monte Vista Chapel for six months or six years, a Discovery gathering is a great place to discover who we are at MVC and where we believe God is leading us. During our interactive time together, we will explore what it means to partner together in following Jesus and becoming more like him.
We will begin by unpacking a little bit of our history, sharing our vision and values, and answering any questions about membership, and more importantly, being part of what God is doing at Monte Vista Chapel.
Our next Discovery gathering will be on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 11:15 a.m. in the Travertine Room (WJB 102). Light snacks will be served.

Bob and Aimee Rasmussen
Near Frontiers
Bob and Aimee serve together in ministry to those who have come near to us from far away – hence the ministry name “Near Frontiers.” Currently there are seven team families living in different U.S. cities, including Bob and Aimee. These families seek to show the love of Christ to internationals, whether they are immigrants, refugees, or students. They enjoy experiencing the diversity of cultures as they follow Jesus and walk alongside internationals on their own spiritual journeys. Aimee serves as the director of Chapel Soul Care (a ministry of MVC). She also provides pastoral counseling to missionaries who serve in Near Frontiers and elsewhere via teleconferencing.
Please keep us in prayer for:
- Donations and volunteers as Turlock is currently receiving many new Afghan refugees. There is a huge housing shortage. If you know of upcoming apartments to rent, please let Bob know.
- Our MVC co-sponsor group as we continue to resettle two Syrian families. We especially need jobs for the two fathers, who have limited English.
- Aimee as she directs Chapel Soul Care, provides counseling and spiritual direction for many. Donations for scholarships are always needed.
- Wisdom for Bob and the other elders as they seek to hear from God on behalf of our congregation.
